I’ve spent my career being “called upon” — to architect the tool nobody else could, automate the process everyone thought was manual forever, and lead the migration everyone was afraid to start.
At Boeing I architected and shipped the Open System Engineering Environment (OSEE) — an open-source, full-lifecycle engineering platform that grew from one helicopter program into a multi-program software engineering solution. Along the way I converted thousands of legacy tests into a modern automated framework, re-architected change management for hundreds of Boeing and Navy engineers, and mentored the next generation of engineers.
In 2024 I earned selection as a Boeing Associate Technical Fellow — recognition reserved for roughly the top 3% of the company’s engineers. Today I’m applying that same architect’s instinct to AI engineering: building AI / LLM-powered products end to end and bringing 30 years of systems discipline to a brand-new frontier.
The hardest part of AI engineering isn’t the model — it’s the system around it: data pipelines, reliability, integration, and shipping something real to real users. That’s exactly the work I’ve done my entire career.

An AI-powered local marketplace. A seller snaps one photo and Claude Vision generates a complete, polished listing — title, description, category, and suggested price. Built full-stack: PHP/MySQL backend, subscription tiers via Stripe, image processing, and a compact mobile-first UI.
It’s my proving ground for applied AI — prompt design, model integration, cost control, and turning a raw capability into a product people can actually use.

Chief architect & co-lead of OSEE. Re-architected configuration and change management for the F/A-18 program (200+ Boeing and 400+ Navy engineers), modernized the Apache test environment, and mentored a continuous pipeline of engineers as a Technical Lead Engineer.
Created the requirements-management and test-coordination tooling for the Apache Block program, then conceived and built OSEE and its Action Tracking System as the next-generation engineering environment.
Embedded software and qualification engineering across DoD platforms — Ada, C, C++, Perl, and Tcl/Tk — building the foundation for a career in large-scale systems.
Earned a computer science degree with honors after a co-op with Martin Marietta on the Longbow targeting system.

The Open System Engineering Environment — an open-source, full-lifecycle platform for requirements, configuration management, change tracking, and automated reporting. Born on a single helicopter program, it became a multi-program software engineering solution used across Apache, F/A-18, AOP, and AH-6.
20+ years modernizing the engineering toolchain behind one of the world’s most advanced attack helicopters — managing full-lifecycle artifacts, configuration, and change tracking for the program’s mission software.
Proposed, proved, and built the open test environment that converted 6,000+ legacy C test units to a modern Java/Eclipse framework — making regression testing faster and onboarding far easier. Now adopted by F/A-18 as well.
Led a multi-year effort to re-architect how the F/A-18 program stores and manages change requests, then migrated requirements and trainers onto OSEE — uniting Boeing and Navy engineering teams on one traceable system.
A high-performance, Excel-like tree/table widget contributed to the Eclipse Nebula open-source project. Used for 15+ years across the entire Apache and F/A-18 toolset — sorting, filtering, and reporting on huge datasets.
My independent AI product: a local marketplace where a single photo becomes a complete listing through Claude Vision. I designed and built the whole thing — prompt pipeline, model integration, full-stack PHP/MySQL app, image handling, and Stripe-powered subscription tiers. It’s where I sharpen the craft of building real, reliable products on top of AI.
